Dear Patients,
I'm very glad to announce a limited reopening of our clinic beginning Monday, June 1 based on the improving COVID-19 situation and state guidance for re-opening.
We have all been coping differently with the stay-at-home orders...in these last few months, I've been closely monitoring and researching the spread of the virus throughout the US, China and the world, including reading many papers published in the JAMA, Lancet, CELL, NATURE, etc. Based on my research, and following the guidelines from the CDC, the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), and Washington State's Health Department, we are implementing the following changes to our clinic operations, in order to minimize COVID-19 risk for both our patients and our staff:
Limited Capacity - The clinic will be re-opened with limited capacity and hours. Dr. Su will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Dr. Francis will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Our Massage Therapist, Wendy Navas, will be available on Wednesdays and Fridays.
What Patients Should Expect - Due to our new safety procedures and changes in providers' hours and days, we are resetting our clinic schedule. We will do our best to re-schedule all patients who can confirm that they come during this pandemic period. Any prior appointments you may have made will need to be rescheduled. Please be prepared to be flexible and respond in a timely manner once the scheduling calls/messages are sent. In addition, please read the following carefully:
There are many other things we are doing to minimize the exposure to COVID-19 and I'll not enumerate them here. :-) I understand these changes will bring inconveniences to our patients, and they will certainly create extra burdens to our practitioners and staff, but I'm very confident that you all understand why. Your safety and well-being are absolutely our top priority. We all deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

We will do our best to re-schedule all patients who can confirm that they come during this pandemic period. Any prior appointments you may have made will need to be rescheduled. Please be prepared to be flexible and respond in a timely manner once the scheduling calls/messages are sent. In addition, please read the following carefully:
- To reduce physical contact time and time spent indoors in the clinic, all our intakes will be done the day before the treatment, online (filling out the intake form) and over telephone (consult/conversation with practitioner about symptoms over the phone, for standard time 5-10mins).
- When coming to the clinic for your appointment, please wait in your vehicle instead of coming inside. Once it is your turn to come in, you will be notified via text message with a note on which numbered room to enter.
- Please note that only the designated patient may enter the clinic—family members or other guests should continue to wait outside in the vehicle.
- At the door you will be checked for temperature via non-contact thermometer, then enter your treatment room directly (bypassing the normal counter check-in). Once inside the room, you should get ready by changing clothes and lying down on the table as soon as possible.
- Patients are strongly recommended to minimize the use of restrooms while in clinic.
- All patients are required to properly wear masks the entire time while in the clinic, including while asleep. (If you really can't find any masks, let us know beforehand and the clinic can provide an emergency mask for you to use, but this should be a last resort as our PPE supply is extremely limited. We really appreciate your consideration.)
- After your treatment is over, you should re-dress and leave the clinic without stopping by the counter. Please leave the clinic by the back exit (near restroom door).
- After you the leave the office, we will reach out to you to schedule your next appointment over the phone. We will also bill you later for your visit--please look out for an email (bac14021@gmail.com) or call (425-746-8589, or 425-362-7238) or text (425-362-7238) from us.
- Operate in a limited capacity to reduce crowd size, for enhanced social distancing
- Schedule patients to allow time for thoroughly disinfecting treatment rooms after each visit, and install “sneeze shield” in the front desk area
- Require all patients to answer COVID-19 questionnaires before each visit
- Conduct all patient interviews remotely (online, via telephone, or other media)
- Temperature-test all patients on entry
- Restrict patient use of the waiting area, and limit clinic entry to patients-only
- Require all patients to wear masks the entire time at the clinic, even while sleeping
- Require patients to enter and exit clinic using separate entrances and exits, to limit patient-to-patient contact
- Require all practitioners to wear PPE while interacting with patients, including masks, gloves, lab coats or scrubs, face shields or protective goggles as necessary
- Thoroughly clean treatment room following each use, using ozone machine or UV light. Clean and disinfect treatment table, counter-top, chairs/stools, door handle,
sink, faucets, light switches, as well as any other identified high-touch surface. - Thoroughly clean all common areas and surfaces on a regular basis, and
- Disinfect entire clinic facility nightly using ozone machines.
