Modalities

Although acupuncture will be the primary type of treatment you receive at our clinic, one or more of the following techniques and practices may be used in your treatment depending on the situation:
Moxibustion (Moxa) This consists of the burning of a compressed herb stick to provide thermal stimulation to specific points and meridians or over certain surface areas of skin. Moxa treatment is very soothing.
Cupping This involves the use of glass cups that form a suction on the skin to promote and stimulate blood flow to certain parts of the body.
Chinese Tuina This is Chinese traditional massage and acupressure, which promotes and stimulates blood and Qi flow.
Electro-acupuncture With this method, acupuncture needles are stimulated with a gentle electric current to circulate the flow of Qi.
Herbal medicine Formulated Chinese herbal medicines are sometimes prescribed to complement the acupuncture treatment for maximum effects.
Dietary Advice Dietary recommendations are based upon traditional Chinese medical theory.

Therapeutic Massages

Therapeutic Massage provides an excellent complement to the acupuncture treatments. Working with the in-house acupuncture practitioners, our massage therapist provides therapeutic and yet relaxing treatment sessions to our patients with emphasis on the prescribed acupuncture points to achieve the maximum health benefits, which in turn makes the ongoing acupuncture and Chinese Medicine treatments more effective.

Facial Rejuvenation

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the state of physical health, emotions, and spirit is reflected on the skin, particularly on the skin of the face. You look your best when your healthy inside shines through on your face and skin!

In cosmetic acupuncture, a very superficial ancient needling technique is utilized. The needling brings increased Qi and blood to those areas which can improve or increase
the production of collagen and elastin. This rush of Qi and blood reduces fine lines, improves muscle tone, reduces sagging and evens out skin tone. Since this system is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture points on the body are also selected to complete the balancing of energy. The results are an overall rejuvenation
of body, mind and spirit. Diet, lifestyle, and skincare are also evaluated and
addressed to maximize benefits.
Best results are obtained with a full series of 10 sessions and can last several years with proper maintenance. However, shorter-lasting results can still be obtained with
fewer sessions.
